Unfortunately we arrived late and left early, so didn't have a chance to fully appreciate and explore the accommodation and surrounds. However, it was quite magical to open our window and look at the lights reflected on the River Aare. The breakfast was lovely, room was very comfortable, a lovely old building...definitely a place to return to.

Beautiful hotel right on the river. Walking distance to everything including the train station. Great staff, breakfast provided. Was a great stay. I had a lovely room on the corner with a view of the river from both windows. Easy self check in as I arrived late.

The receptionist was amazingly helpful, very welcoming, the rooms were freshly renovated and very comfortable. Beautiful view of the Aare from my room and very close to the main station

Friendly staff, great location for restaurants, bars, train but still quiet in room with view of river. borrowed bicycle free of charge from hotel and had lovely trip downriver after work with meal at 1881 cafe. Architecture of hotel building also interesting. WiFi v good.

Location was excellent. The rooms were clean and a decent size for one person. There are restaurants in the vicinity. You can walk to the old town. The view is amazing. Very quiet rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. I'd definitely return.
